A list of all known SuperOcean special and limited editions

Though it didn't give birth to as many special editions as the B-1, the Aerospace or the Chronomat, the Breitling SuperOcean was chosen in several occasions to bear a custom dial. Those include AA, French GSPR, French GIGN, French Légion Étrangère, 849 Naval Air Squadron, RNLI, NATO KFOR (#1), and KFOR (#2) again. There was also a special 18kt gold version, and possibly others.

This was the inaugural watch for the American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami HEAT.
SuperOcean GSPR
The GSPR (Groupe de Sécurité de la Présidence de la République) is a French corps in charge of the security of the President of the French Republic. It was created in 1983.
SuperOcean GIGN
Commissioned by the
GIGN,
the French elite police squad,
maybe for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the unit's creation.
A few years later, the GIGN also placed an order for 50 Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish with custom dial.
(Sorry for the blurry picture.)
SuperOcean Légion Étrangère (Photo credit: Breitling-classic-center)
This Colt SuperOcean was commissioned by the “SAGLE” (the former equipment agency) of the French Foreign Legion, and sold until 2000. It also may have been offered for Christmas 1997 to some Foreign Legion officiers.
Please note that the caseback gives no indication that this is a special edition.
SuperOcean KFOR
These Colt SuperOceans were given to UN officials and soldiers of NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR). It seems like the profits from this sale were donated to the “Fonds of Dependents Relief for the Austrian soldiers in foreign mission”.
SuperOcean KFOR
Due to the success of the previous KFOR special edition, another series was produced—this time with a black dial.
SuperOcean Or 18kt
This is the first thousand-meter watch ever produced in precious metal, thanks to its inner “cassolette” made of titanium. Apparently the caseback doesn't say that this is a special edition; only the papers do.
SuperOcean “Royal Navy 849 Squadron”
This SuperOcean, made for the Royal Navy's 849 Squadron, bears the squadron's crest emblem on a blue dial, as well as a schema of a Westland Sea King Mk 7 Airborne Surveillance and Control helicopter.
Thanks Idan (the maintainer of Club Breitling Israel) and S-S!
SuperOcean “RNLI”, version 1 and 2
The RNLI is a UK/Irish sea rescue organization. (Evidence of the actual production of this watch hasn't been established yet.)
Thanks again Idan!
